How to Make Monster Pom Poms

Parents, are you looking for an easy art activity for kids? Try this idea using colorful pom poms and googly eyes! Make this art activity for kids and let your Pom Pom Monsters hang your child's masterpieces!

Supplies:

  • Glue
  • Modge Podge
  • Sponge paint brush
  • Pom Poms in various colors and sizes
  • Clothespins
  • Glitter
  • Googly Eyes
  • Pipe Cleaners

Directions:

1. Make Glitter Clothespins

  • Using the foam brush, add glue to the top of the clothespin.
  • Sprinkle glitter on top of the glue.
  • Allow to dry for 2-3 minutes then add a coat of Modge Podge. 

Art Activity for Kids

  • Allow the Modge Podge to dry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Repeat all steps on the other side of the clothespin.
  • Allow both sides to dry completely and they are ready to use!

2. Pick out some pom poms and think of a monster! Use different color poms and lengths of pipe cleaners.

3. Glue on the googly eyes, legs, ears, arms - get creative!

4. After the glue has dried, you can glue the little monsters on the end of the clothespins.

5. Voila! Clothespin pom pom Monsters are ready to hang out or hang some artwork!
