Kids Kitchen: Apple Pie Tortillas

Apples are in season and the benefits of cooking with your kids abound! So how about making a simple dessert the kids can help with in the kitchen. With only a few ingredients, your little ones can help make these apple pie tortillas and will love eating them too!

Ingredients:

  • Green apples
  • 4-inch tortillas
  • Butter
  • Cinnamon & sugar mix

Apple Pie Tortillas##adbig##

Method:

1. Pre-heat the oven to 375 F.

2. Peel and dice the apples. We have an apple corer and peeler and it makes it really easy.

3. Then cut the apples in small slices.

4. Place a large spoonful of apples onto the center of each tortilla. Add 1/2 tablespoon of butter and 1/2 teaspoon of the cinnamon and sugar mix on top of the apples.

5. Place the apple mixed tortillas onto a baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes.

6. Once they are cooled slightly, cut them with a pizza slicer.

Kids can enjoy these with a warm apple cider drink.
