7. Take a break from the crafts and have some Earth Day jello made with blue and green gelatin. Find the instructions here.

8. Colored rice is a great sensory material to play with. Look at this Earth Day sensory bin from Fun-a-Day. You can add plastic eggs and pastel pom poms for an Easter themed bin or twigs, flowers, pebbles, and plastic insects or chicks from the dollar store for a spring bin. Another idea is to simply have a big tub of rice with scoops, spoons, and cups.

9.  Toddlers will love painting with their feet to make this footprint earth by Little Learning for Two. You’ll need a large sheet of paper, tape, paint, scissors, and a shallow box for paint. Instructions for this craft can be found here.

10. Crafty Morning has a great handprint Earth Day craft your little one will enjoy. Their little hands will wrap around Earth in this cute craft. Trace your child’s handprints on a piece of skin-colored paper and cut them out. Cut a big heart shape from white paper and lay it on a paper plate. Paint the heart-shaped Earth with green and blue paints and allow to dry. Glue hands to the back of the heart and fold the fingers around front so that it looks like the hands are holding the heart.
