Bottle Cap Ornaments

by Jenna Gleason

Hanging homemade ornaments on your Christmas tree is such a wonderful family tradition. Unlike a lot of crafts that may not stand up against water damage or natural wear and tear (we’re looking at you, macaroni necklace!), homemade ornaments can last a lifetime and then some. Bottle cap ornaments are a simple craft that the little ones will have a great time making.

Supplies:

Bottle caps (3 per snowman ornament)

White, orange, and black acrylic paint

Red, green, and orange pipe cleaners

Strips of ribbon (to hang your ornament)

Hot glue gun and stick

Directions:

Paint the insides of all of your bottle caps white. Hot glue the three bottle caps to make your snowman.

Paint the buttons, nose, eyes, and smile of your snowman on the inside of a bottle cap.

Tie a pipe cleaner around the second bottle cap as a scarf. Wrap it close to the bottle cap, so it’s secure without glue.

On the unpainted side of the top bottle cap, hot glue your ribbon to the top bottle cap so you have something to hang it on the tree with.

Hang your finished ornament on your Christmas tree!
