Enjoy this fun turkey themed counting activity this Thanksgiving! It’s a simple game to make and is a great hands-on way for kids to learn and practice counting.
Materials:
Dice
Brown Paper Bag
Construction Paper
Googly Eyes
Rolos
Directions:
- Cut a circle out of the paper bag for the mouth.
- Cut out red, orange, yellow and brown construction paper feathers.
- On the back side of the paper bag, glue the feathers to the top.
- Glue your googly eyes above the circle you cut out for the mouth.
- Using construction paper, cut out a beak and a snood.
- Glue the beak and snood below the eyes.
- Gather your Rolo game pieces.
Instructions:
Have your child roll the dice. Whatever number they roll, is the number of Rolos they have to “feed” the turkey. If they count the right amount, for 3-5 rounds they get a prize!
